Abstract

An operating handle 1 for windows or doors can be secured in a number of marked rotation settings, each related to an opening position of the window or door. The window or door frame has a cylindrical hole or a standard borehole of 15-18 mm in diameter and 25 mm in depth. By configuring the rosette 2 of the operating handle 1 on the internal, window-facing side with a cylindrical bearing housing 4 for a sleeve 7, whose end facing inwards into the window has a fit hole for the lock spindle 5 and whose outward-facing end has a breast 8 for bearing contact against one side 9 of an internal flange 6 in the bearing housing 4, and with members 12 for clamping this end to the operating handle 1 when this is introduced into the bearing housing 4 for bearing contact against the other side 11 of the internal flange 6, and by providing the wall in the cylindrical bearing housing with at least one spring-loaded locking member 15, which is held by the pressure of the spring 16 against the sleeve 7, which sleeve has a number of depressions 17 for interaction with the locking member, the said standard borehole is now able to accommodate the mechanism which realizes the marked rotation settings. The visible part of the rosette 2 on the window or door frame can thereby be produced with a smaller material thickness than in previously known operating handles, since it does not need to have space for the said mechanism. <IMAGE> <IMAGE>
