Abstract
A surfacing material, with a brightness characteristic Y of ≥ 50 (preferably 65-90), contains (by wt.) 0.1-6% white cement (Portland cement with less than 5, preferably less than 2 wt.% Fe2O3 content), 0.1-3% hydrated lime, 5-45% alumina cement with less than 5% Fe2O3 content, 2-18% calcium sulphate, 0.1-2% commercial extender/smoothing additive, 0.1-8% organic binder, 35-85% filler and 0.1-8 (preferably 0.5-2)% cement-resistant pigment. Also claimed are processes for producing and processing of the above surfacing material.
