Abstract

For window and door fittings, there is proposed an espagnolette, especially an espagnolette coupling piece 3 of fitting components, which consists of a sheet-metal profile 5 of U-shaped cross-section, which is formed from a strip of flat material, for example a strip blank, by bending deformation and which is provided, at least at one of its two profile ends 13 or 14, in the region of the U-flanges 7, 8, with a fine coupling toothing 4 constituting engagement for a complementary coupling countertoothing which is located on another espagnolette or on another espagnolette piece. The espagnolette coupling pieces 3 can be produced at a relatively low outlay in terms of material and with high dimensional stability, in that the U-shaped sheet-metal profile 5 has, over its length, at least three different profile height steps 10, 11, 12, in that the large profile height step 10 is assigned to one profile end 13, whilst the small profile height step 12 is adjacent to the other profile end 14, in that there are embossed or pressed into the flanges 7a, 8a of the large profile height step fine toothings 9, the contour of which is oriented parallel to the profile web 6c and extends into the U-profile so as to narrow its cross-section, and in that the middle profile height step 11 is bent out 15, 16 relative to the small profile height step 12 at least towards the profile-web side. <IMAGE>
