Abstract
Joining piece (10) for two section members, which abut in an angular manner, of window, door or similar frames, which is located on the outside on a section member (36) and is fastened thereto by a screw connection part which penetrates this section member (36) and is screwed into a metal body (12) reinforcing on the inside the joining piece (10) of hollow design. In order to improve a joining piece (10), with the features mentioned in the introduction, in such a manner that it is better suited to larger frame cross-sections and is at the same time suitable in a simple manner for greater extraction loads of its metal body (12), it is designed in such a manner that the screw thread of the metal body (12) is arranged in a bottom plate which bears against a connecting wall which closes the hollow joining piece (10) on the section-member side except for a passage opening for the screw connection part, and that the metal body (12) is of tubular design from the bottom plate and its tubular walls support the walls of the joining piece (10). <IMAGE>
