Abstract

A metal sheet or a metal strip (1) for wall or roof coverings, which sheet or strip is provided with a surface coating (2) in the form of a lacquer or the like, which is covered by a protective film (3) removably applied to the coating (2). According to the invention, the protective film has linearly arranged perforations (4) or similar material weakenings which are constructed for separating one film region adjoining the perforation lines from the remaining regions of the protective film (3).
