Abstract

According to the invention, the device 1 comprises means (5, 7, 8) making it possible to incline the roller or rollers (3) relative to the horizontal by tilting about a horizontal axis (5) perpendicular to their axis of rotation and passing through the centre of the latter, one (10a) of the presence detectors (10) being arranged in line with the tilting axis (5), so as to be sensitised by the central point of the leading edge (15b) of the sheet (15), and making it possible to detect the correct level positioning of this central point so as to stop the action of each motor driving the rollers (3) in rotation, whilst the other detectors (10), sensitised by the leading edge (15b) of the sheet (15) on either side of its central point, are intended for commanding the tilting of the roller or rollers (3) until they detect the correct positioning of this leading edge (15b).
