Abstract

The terminal comprises a modem (3), an encoder-decoder (5) and means (4, 7) for selectively connecting the transmission-reception circuit (1) to the telephone line (2), either directly, or via the modem (3) and the encoder-decoder (5), in response to a transparent channel request (CCBT) or to a non-transparent channel request (CCBNT) respectively.
