Dieser Koch- und Backofen ist im wesentlichen, durch zwei verschiedene Constructionen in der Zeichnung veranschaulicht. Seine Eigenthümlichkeit besteht namentlich darin, dafs er nur aus Chamotte hergestellt ist und sich aus nur einem, zwei oder wenig mehr Theilen zusammensetzt. This cooking and oven is essentially illustrated by two different constructions in the drawing. Its peculiarity consists in the fact that it is made only of chamotte and is composed of only one, two, or a few more parts.

Jeder Ofen zerfällt in drei von einander zu unterscheidende Haupträume: den Feuerherd mit Aschkasten, den Backraum und den Raum für die Circulation der Feuergase.Each stove is divided into three main rooms that can be distinguished from one another: the hearth with ash box, the oven and the room for the circulation of the fire gases.

In Fig. i, 2 und 3 besteht der Herd b aus einem einzigen Stück Chamotte; in demselben befindet sich der Aschkasten g und der Rost f. In Fig. 1, 2 and 3, the hearth b consists of a single piece of chamotte; in the same is the ash box g and the grate f.

Der eigentliche Ofen α ist auf b befestigt und besteht ebenfalls nur aus Chamotte. Der Backraum c ist von den Feuerkanälen durch Chamottewandung vollständig getrennt und vorn durch eine Chamottethür d abschliefsbar; er ist mit der äufseren Wand durch eine Anzahl Rippen verbunden, welche kleine Kanäle k bilden, durch die die Feuergase streichen. Die Fig. 4, 5 und 6 stellen einen Ofen dar, der für Ausführungen in nicht zu grofsem Mäfsstabe aus einem Stück besteht und namentlich zum Kochen bestimmt ist. Es sind hier die beiden übereinanderliegenden Koch- oder Backräume c vollständig von einander getrennt. Die Feuergase umspülen, vom Herd b ausgehend, erst den oberen Raum c, steigen alsdann durch die Oeffnung e' in den unteren Kanal, um schliefslich durch e" nach dem Schornstein zu entweichen.4, 5 and 6 show an oven which, for versions with a not too large scale, consists of one piece and is especially intended for cooking.
