Der Cigarrenabschneider besteht aus einem Sockel α und dem Gehäuse b; in letzterem befindet sich das eigentliche Werk. In der Decke des Mantels b ist im vorliegenden Fall ein Loch c vorgesehen, welches von unten durch die Platte d verdeckt wird. Diese Platte d ist fest mit dem Hebelarm e verbunden , welcher auf die Welle / festgekeilt ist. Die Welle f ist in den Seitenwänden g und g^l eines im Innern des Mantels b angebrachten Gehäuses drehbar gelagert. An die Welle greifen die beiden Hebelarme h und i, Fig. ι und 3, welche mit den in den Leisten k und k¹ geführten Zugstangen ^ und ^¹ beweglich verbunden sind.The cigar cutter consists of a base α and the housing b ; in the latter is the actual work. Die Uhrfeder ist mit ihrem einen Ende im Innern des Mantels b und mit ihrem anderen Ende an der Welle η befestigt. Ueber dem Gehäuse m ist eine Stange s in den Leisten t und t¹ gelagert. Diese Stange besitzt eine Nase u, gegen welche die Zähne des Zahnrades schnellen, sobald das Gehäuse von der Leiste / freigegeben wird. Die Stange s besitzt an ihrem einen Ende je nach Anzahl der Löcher ein oder mehrere Messer, in vorliegendem Falle eins (v).
