Verfahren zur Anbringung von Leisten aus Metallprofilen sowie Metall- und Dichtungsprofile zur Ausführung dieses Verfahrens, insbesondere an Omnibussen oder Personenwagen Profilleisten, die hauptsächlich auf der Außenhaut von Kraftfahrzeugen oder anderen Verkehrsmitteln befestigt werden, um Schweißnähte, Nagelstellen, Schraubverbindungen, Blechstoßstellen u. dgl. abzudecken und abzudichten oder Zierwirkungen durch die Profilleiste und ihre Abdichtungen hervorzubringen, müssen an ihren Auflagekanten gegen Eintritt von Wasser abgedichtet werden. Diese Montierungsarbeit mußte deshalb auch regelmäßig von mehreren Arbeitern zugleich vorgenommen werden, wobei einige immer darauf zu achten hatten, daß das Dichtungsprofil sich nicht von der richtigen Stelle entfernte. Die Schwierigkeiten wuchsen obendrein noch mit der Länge und der Breite der Profilleisten, denn mit der Länge wächst unter der Gewichtseinwirkung der Durchhang des Dichtungskörpers und mit der Breite, besonders in Fällen, wo die Dichtungsprofile aus einem Stück bestanden, also unter erheblicher Materialverschwendung den ganzen Raum unter der Profilleiste durchsetzten. Dabei wird nämlich dann der Dichtungskörper derart schwer, daß ein ganz besonderes Maß an Mühe aufzuwenden ist, um ihn am Verlassen der Dichtungsstelle zu verhindern.The means so far used to achieve this end have been throughout inadequate and extremely cumbersome to use. Ein Abrutschen des Dichtungskörpers d kann also keinesfalls mehr erfolgen und die Metalleiste gerade dadurch auch mit voller Gewähr für richtigen Sitz und Abdichtung an Ort und Stelle gebracht werden, so wie es Fig. 3 zeigt, bei der die Karosserie mit e bezeichnet ist.
