Pflegehilfsmittel auf Teebaumölbasis (melaleuca alternifolia)Care products based on tea tree oil (melaleuca alternifolia)
Teebaumoel stammt von einer äußerst robusten Baumart aus den Feuchtgebieten und Sümpfen der Nordküste Neusüdwales/Australien. Der Teebaum ist ein dünnborkiges Gewächs mit schmalen, federartigen Blättern von leuchtend grüner Farbe. Der Teebaum wächst sehr schnell und wird bis zu 6 m hoch. Er besitzt eine außerordentlich hohe Widerstandskraft, die ihn sogar Überschwemmungen und Buschfeuer überstehen läßt. Es gibt ca. 300 Varianten des Teebaumes, jedoch nur das OeI des "melaleuca alternifolia" weist wegen seiner einzigartigen Zusammensetzung ganz besondere Qualitäten auf. Das ätherische Öl wird durch die traditionelle Methode der Wasserdampfdestillation gewonnen. Aus einer Tonne Blätter können 10 Liter ätherisches Öl gewonnen werden. Teebaumöl ist klar und farblos bis blaßgelb und verströmt einen krautig-frischen Duft.Tea tree oil comes from an extremely robust tree species from the wetlands and swamps of the north coast of New South Wales/Australia.
