Container for holding cigarettes or similar smoking products

The invention relates to a container with a closable opening for holding cigarettes or similar tobacco products, optionally together with a cover box, whereby the opening of the container can be closed by a lid, preferably pivotably mounted on the container mouth.

Such containers are known in the art. There is a need to provide smokers with an opportunity to reduce the frequency of smoking.

Based on this state of the art, the invention is based on the object of creating a container of this type that can be used as an aid to reducing the frequency of smoking.

To solve this problem, it is proposed that the lid has a closure coupled with a time lock.

Such a design makes it possible to close a corresponding container with the lid, whereby the lock between the lid and the container is coupled with a time lock in such a way that access to the container (opening the lid) is only possible after certain times have elapsed. This prevents the user from accessing the tobacco products in the container after closing the lid and activating the time lock. Instead, the user must wait until the time lock releases the lock and the lid can be opened.

Preferably, the time lock is programmable, whereby the programming can in particular only be activated or set when the lid is open.

By programming it appropriately, the user can set specific times after which the time lock releases the lid so that it can be opened. The user can thus further reduce the frequency of smoking by programming increasingly longer closing cycles.

A preferred further development is that the time lock consists of a locking part, preferably in the form of a rotating disk, which is rotatably mounted on the container and actuated by a drive (electric or mechanical spring drive), and a bolt or the like which can be inserted into the locking part when it is in the open position, whereby the locking part can be rotated from the open position into a closed position and is rotated back into the open position by the drive after a predetermined time, which enables the lid to be opened.

The locking part can then be inserted into the open position to close the lid. The locking part can then be turned so that the bolt is held in the closed position by parts of the locking part and opening of the container is prevented. The lid can only be opened when the disk has been turned back into the open position by the drive after a predetermined time.

An electrical or mechanical clockwork can be used as the drive. The drive can be operated in a simple manner, for example, so that when the drive is turned from the open position to a certain closed position, the drive is mechanically wound up (like a clockwork) and the disc is then slowly returned to the closed position under the action of the drive, whereby manual turning back of the disc is prevented, for example, by locking teeth or the like. Markings can be placed on the container holding the disc, which correspond to specific expiration times for the disc to return. This makes it easy for the user to set access times from a few minutes to several hours, for example.

The drawing shows a container 1 with a closable opening, located at the top of the drawing, for holding cigarettes or similar tobacco products. The cigarettes or similar products can be inserted into the opening of the container individually or together with the wrapping box.

A pivoting lid 2 is hinged at 3 to the container mouth at the top in the drawing, by means of which the container mouth can be closed or opened.

The lid has a lock 5 coupled to a time lock 4. The time lock 4 consists of a locking part in the form of a rotating disk 6, which is rotatably mounted on the container 1, in particular on the front of the container, and is operated by an electrical or mechanical clockwork drive, and a latch 7 or the like which can be inserted when the disk 6 is in the open position and which is arranged on an edge of the lid 2. In the position shown in Figure 1, the latch 7 can be moved into the latch position by pivoting the lid 2 into the closed position, with the disk 6 having a corresponding edge cutout. By rotating the disk 6 in the direction of the arrow 7, the insertion opening for the latch 7 is then rotated and the edge of the disk 6 engages over the latch 7, so

that the lid is kept in the closed position and cannot be opened. Only after a certain amount of time has elapsed does the driven disk 6 return to the open position, so that the latch 7 is released and the container lid 2 can be opened. A marking 8 is provided on the disk 6 and markings 9 are provided on the wall of the container 1 holding the disk 6, which correspond to certain time periods, for example. In the example, the time periods are half an hour, one hour, one and a half hours and two hours. If the user turns the disk 6 with its marking to the "one hour" marking, for example, the disk 6 takes one hour to return to the open position, depending on the design of the clockwork drive. Only then can the user open the container 1 by pivoting the lid 2 and thus gain access to the tobacco products contained therein.

The invention is not limited to the embodiment, but is variable in many ways within the scope of the disclosure.

Container with closable opening for holding of cigarettes or similar smoking articles, optionally together with a wrapping box, the opening of the container being closable by a lid, preferably held pivotably at the container mouth, characterized in that the lid (2) has a closure (5) coupled to a time lock (4). 2. Container according to claim 1, characterized in that the time lock (4) is programmable, whereby the programming can in particular only be operated or set when the cover (2) is open. 3. Container according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the time lock (4) consists of a rotatably mounted on the container (1) and actuated by a drive (electrical or mechanical spring drive).
