Eine beispielsweise Zusammensetzung ist folgende: i Teil Kaliumwasserglas 23° Be, i Teil Natriumwasserglas 38° Be, 0,3 bis o,i5 Teile Holzmehl, 0,5 bis 2,5 Teile Steinmehl, z. B. Juraweiß. Mit Hilfe der erfindungsgemäßen Spachtelmasse werden Überzüge auf aus Gasbeton (Porenbeton) bestehenden Wänden nach dem Verfahren vorliegender Erfindung in folgender Weise hergestellt: Die Wände werden zunächst in üblicher Weise abgeschliffen und abgestaubt; dann folgt ein Voranstrich mittels Kaliumwasserglas, dem auf roo Teile bis to Teile Farbpigment zugegeben sind. Auf diesen Voranstrich wird die oben angegebene Masse gespachtelt und die Spachtelschicht in an sich bekannter Weise mit einem Fluät überstrichen. Unter Fluaten sind die bekannten, auf der Grundlage der Kieselflußsäure und ihrer Salze hergestellten Anstrichmittel zu verstehen. Das Spachteln und Grundieren wird so oft wiederholt, bis ein völlig glatter Überzug auf der Wand entstanden ist.
