Description

Method of making coatings on walls from aerated concrete object of the invention is a method for producing coatings by means of. Water glass containing paints on walls made of aerated concrete (aerated concrete). Such Walls are known to be extraordinarily porous, and so far it has been difficult to get on them to produce smooth coatings; in addition, it was found that the coatings were easily cracked. This is all the more disadvantageous as the constant use of aerated concrete in residential construction is gaining in importance.

It was found that the difficulties caused by the combined application known, but also a new remedy can be overcome. For the purposes the invention serve inter alia. Paints containing waterglass, namely those those made only from potassium water glass or from potassium water glass and sodium water glass exist. The use of potassium silicate as a paint is known, in particular also for painting a highly absorbent surface; up to now one has held against it the use of sodium water glass as a paint is not possible, cf. for example Hans Wagner, Taschenbuch der Farben- und Materialkunde 1949 222.

Eine beispielsweise Zusammensetzung ist folgende: i Teil Kaliumwasserglas 23° Be, i Teil Natriumwasserglas 38° Be, 0,3 bis o,i5 Teile Holzmehl, 0,5 bis 2,5 Teile Steinmehl, z. B. Juraweiß. Unter Teile sind stets Gzwichtsteile zu verstehen. It has been found, however, that a combination of sodium waterglass and potassium water glass are valuable paints for making coatings on walls made of aerated concrete when this paint is used as a filler Wood flour and stone flour are added in certain amounts. One example The composition is as follows: i part potassium water glass 23 ° Be, i part sodium water glass 38 ° Be, 0.3 to 0.15 parts of wood flour, 0.5 to 2.5 parts of stone flour, e.g. B. Jurassic white. Under Parts are always to be understood as weight parts.

The above agent has such a consistency that it is to be addressed as a filler. With the help of the putty according to the invention coatings on walls made of aerated concrete (aerated concrete) are made according to the process The present invention is made in the following manner: The walls are first sanded and dusted in the usual way; then a primer follows Potassium water glass to which 100 to 100 parts of color pigment have been added. on this primer is filled with the above compound and the filler layer Painted over with a fluid in a manner known per se. They are among the fluates known paints produced on the basis of hydrofluoric acid and its salts to understand. The filling and priming is repeated until a completely smooth coating on the wall. As a rule, it is enough to do it twice Filling and priming.
