Mit Hülfe der vorliegenden Maschine werden die Absätze am Schuhwerk befestigt, nachdem vorher die Befestigungsstifte oder Nägel in die Absätze eingetrieben sind.With the help of the present machine, the heels are attached to the footwear after the fastening pins or nails have been driven into the heels beforehand.

Die Maschine kennzeichnet sich als eine wesentliche Verbesserung bisher bekannter Maschinen ähnlicher Art, an welchen ein lothrecht beweglicher Kreuzkopf einen um die Welle schwingenden Arm oder Hebel trägt. Ein Ende dieses Armes hält die Absatztragplatte und die Nagelmechanismen, und das andere Ende des Armes dient zum rechtzeitigen Befestigen des Oberfleckes. Wird der Absatz aufgesetzt, so wird der unter Federdruck stehende Riegel durch den Kopf des entsprechenden Nagels etwas zurückgedrückt, welcher nach Passiren des Kopfes wieder etwas vorspringt und sich unter dem Nagelkopf gegen den Nagel legt, wodurch der Absatz gehalten wird. Ist der Absatz in seiner richtigen Stellung (Fig. 2) auf das Schuhwerk aufgesetzt, so wird der Riegel während des Eintreibens der Nägel durch ein Keilstück K herausgezogen (Fig. 3), welches an der Seite der Fundamentplatte befestigt ist und sich hinter die Blattfeder J drängt.
