Description:

The invention relates to a bicycle stand that holds the bicycle close to the saddle’s center of gravity and at the same time protects the saddle from moisture and dirt. The bicycle stand with saddle center of gravity holder can be set up as a single, double or row stand, fixed or mobile, and is suitable for every commercially available type of bicycle.

There are many ways to park bicycles. Most bicycles are held by the front wheel. If bicycles are equipped with shopping baskets, child seats or saddlebags, the center of gravity shifted to the rear due to the weight of these stands makes them unsteady and can cause damage to spokes and front wheels.

Accordingly, the invention is based on the object of constructing a bicycle stand in such a way that the bicycle to be parked is held securely near the center of gravity and the rim and spokes are not stressed by tensile or torsional forces and every commercially available type of bicycle stands securely.

According to the invention, the object is achieved by putting a cover over the saddle, which holds the bicycle securely in place near the center of gravity. This is achieved

a) with the help of a ring piece that slides on a round post, to which a hood adapted to the standard saddle size is attached. With the

SS attached pull handle, the hood can be pulled up to the respective saddle height, swung over the saddle and lowered - or

b) by a post made of profiled iron that is open on one side, in which there is a guide carriage, also sliding, which is connected to the outside of the profiled iron post through a slot that runs through one side by means of a rod, either rigidly or on a hinge, with a hood as described above. In contrast to the design described under a), the hood cannot be swiveled sideways; if necessary, it is pulled to the desired height in the guide like the one in the guide and lowered onto the saddle or, if hinged, folded down, pulled up and then lowered onto the saddle.
