Flachdichtungen auf Basis fasergefüllter Elastomere haben einen weiten Einsatzbereich, denn diese sogenannten Weichstoffdichtungen können für geringe bis sehr hohe Flächenpressungswerte ausgelegt werden, sind thermisch bis über 100° belastbar und sind, je nach Art des verwendeten elastomeren Matrixmaterials relativ beständig gegen chemische Einflüsse.
