Description

The invention is in the field of potting or transplanting in gardening, for the commercial cultivation and breeding of flowers and vegetables.

The invention is based on the object of specifying a flowerpot which enables the plant, in particular with a root ball, to be removed cleanly without damaging it.

The technical problem with conventional pots is that it is very difficult to remove the plant from the pot, usually only by damaging its root ball and roots. If the roots of the plant have grown together with the pot, so that the pot has to be broken to remove the plant, especially in the case of clay pots, this costs work, time and money.

The above-mentioned problem or the task underlying the invention is a pot whose contents can be easily removed from the pot walls and which is easy to handle.

This is achieved according to the invention by the fact that the pot is made up of several parts and can be opened.

The pot can be used again after the plant and soil have been removed. This means that it is no longer necessary to buy new pots after each transplant, saving money and time.

Another great advantage of the measure according to the invention is that the contents of the pot can be made available by opening it up, so these two pot parts can also be used with existing pots.

More precisely, the pot consists of 3 parts: a kind of outer pot, but without a base, and two so-called inserts. The pot forming the outer shell has the shape of a normal pot. The pot inserts have the same shape as the pot, only that they are a few millimeters smaller than the pot and are cut according to a plane of symmetry that runs through the center axis of the inner pot. This means that they fit into the peripheral pot. The outer pot without a base and the inner pot made of two parts represent a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention.

The technical solution offers the following advantages:

A) A faster and easier way of transplanting or planting out the plants contained therein

B) when the plant is removed from the pot according to the invention the plant is not damaged

C) Soil is saved when removing the plants because it remains attached to the roots, which is a significant advantage when transplanting (faster growth, faster continued growth).

D) The pot also stays clean after it has been removed. Repotting can even be done indoors.

E) The empty pot is easier to clean of the remains of soil and plants, the outer pot because it has no bottom, the inner pot because it consists of two parts.

F) By opening the pot (inside) you can adjust the moisture level of the soil, which is not possible with normal pots, as you cannot monitor the roots inside. And you can do this without losing soil and without damaging the plant.

G) By opening the pot you can also see the size of the root and then, if you have similar plants, you can possibly change the composition of the pot contents and thus have the opportunity to find exactly the right moment

for transplanting or planting out.

According to Figure 1, the outer pot A has no base. Two equally sized inserts (halved inner pot, consisting of B and C) are arranged in it: The outer pot A without a base is not fixed with respect to the inserts B, C. The inserts B, C have a base Bl and Cl at the bottom, but each have their own hole B2 and C2 and together form the flowerpot according to the invention when they are inserted into the outer pot A. The inserts, or the inner pot, have a slightly smaller circumference 1 than the main pot A. As mentioned, they can be cut along the axis of symmetry. However, a different cut is also possible. The insert parts B and C of the inner pot are also not fixed with respect to each other, just as they are loose with respect to the outer pot A. Preferably, the insert parts B and C are symmetrical and have the same length and height as the circumference 1 of the outer pot A.

It should be made clear that the pure form of the pot is not new, but that the pot can be designed externally in accordance with the known standards.

If the shape of the outer pot A is not conical, then it is necessary to make a small outward-protruding edge B3 and C3 on the insert parts B, C so that they cannot fall out of the outer pot 1 of the main pot A. When planting the plant in the pot according to the invention, the following happens:

The insert parts B and C of the inner pot are placed or pushed into the circumference of the main pot A - see Figure 3 a - from above, with their bases Bl and Cl facing downwards into the main pot A. The insert parts B and C, once placed in the circumference pot 1 of the main pot, form the pot according to the invention, which can then look, for example, as shown in Figure 3 b, and may not be distinguishable from other pots to the eye of the untrained observer.

The plant and soil are then placed in the pot (Figure 3C). The plant is now in the pot - Figure 3D.

After growth, the plant is taken out of the pot.

Through the lower part of the peripheral pot A, which has no bottom, you press the inner pot or the inserts B, C, inside which the plant is located, upwards with your hand, as shown in Figure 4A. The insert parts B, C are removed together with the plant (Figure 4B) and then the plant is removed (Figure 4C) by removing the insert parts or the inner pot, opening them up or, if necessary, only removing half of them until planting. The soil stays on the plant or the root ball, which is not damaged. Repotting into a larger pot is now possible without any problem.

As already mentioned, a normal pot can also be used to put the inserts into. However, pushing out the inner pot is then a little more laborious. The only requirement is that the pot has the dimensions and shape as shown in Figures 1, 1a, 2, 2a.

It should be noted that the economic advantages are quite significant: even a layman can easily use the invention. The following should also be noted: if the outer pot or main pot is not round but square, a small protruding edge must be attached to the upper parts of the inserts. As already mentioned, when used inside existing pots, the base does not necessarily have to be cut away. The shape and behavior of the pot and inner pot are slightly different, but are nevertheless advantageous.
