Security device for windows and doors

The innovation relates to a security device for windows and doors against forced opening, which is arranged as an attachment part approximately parallel to the sash element and can be accommodated in hole-like receptacles in a surrounding reveal.

A large number of burglar alarms of this type are known, whereby these are sometimes arranged at several points on the sash elements. However, it has been shown that the installation of these burglar alarms is often complex and it is hardly possible to adapt them to the existing conditions on site using simple measures. Furthermore, there is often a need to install the appropriate burglar alarm to prevent the windows and doors from being opened by force.

Doors should only be visible for a limited time. It is also known to make window openings burglar-proof by installing grilles or security bars in front of the window.

It has been shown that such visible bars have a visually advantageous effect against attempted break-ins. The disadvantage here is that these arrangements are usually complex to manufacture and attach, and they cannot be removed if necessary.

The aim of the innovation is to create a generic arrangement that also allows for easy subsequent assembly and adjustment on site without affecting the sash elements and that allows the force absorption to be relocated to the surrounding reveal when subjected to stress and can be easily removed when not in use.

This problem is solved in accordance with the innovation by having a casing tube that is dimensioned approximately according to the opening width and a firmly fixable locking element that can be inserted on one side and is accommodated in a corresponding receptacle in the reveal, and a telescopically adjustable locking element that can be inserted in a corresponding receptacle in the reveal and an adjustable locking element that is arranged between the casing tube and the locking element.

This design makes it possible for the cladding tube to be adapted to the opening on site according to the existing conditions and then

a locking element can be inserted and a fixation is achieved at the same time when inserted.

A simple training is created by
the cladding tube is designed as a square profile and the locking elements are designed as round profiles.

In order to fix the locking element during assembly, it is intended that the locking element that can be fixed in the casing tube can be positioned and fixed as a round profile using spring pins that are offset by 90 degrees and arranged at a distance in the square casing tube. This makes it possible for the locking element to be inserted into the casing tube by hammering and to retain its position.

It is further proposed that the locking element for the telescopic locking element is formed by a threaded bolt with a handle which can be secured in the fixed position via an associated or integrated lock.

The safety device shown essentially consists of a casing tube 1, which has an adjustable locking element 2 for an insertable locking element 5 at one end. The casing tube 1 is designed as a square profile and has a receptacle 3 that accommodates a threaded bolt 4 of the locking element 2. The threaded bolt 4 can be screwed into the interior of the casing tube 1. At this end, the locking element 5 is accommodated in the casing tube 1 with a round profile and fixed in the desired position via the threaded bolt 4. This creates an arrangement similar to a telescope, whereby the locking element 5 can be fixed via the locking element 2.

The casing tube 1 is adjusted on site to the desired opening width, for example by sawing. The side of the casing tube facing away from the locking element 2 is shortened. A firmly fixable locking element 6 is then inserted. The locking element 6 is also designed as a round profile in this case and has corresponding spring pins 7 on the side facing the casing tube 1, which are arranged at a distance and offset from one another by 90 degrees. The locking element 6 is now inserted into the casing tube 1, with the spring pins taking up approximately the diagonal of the square profile of the casing tube 1. The locking element 6 is expediently brought into engagement with the casing tube 1 by hammer blows and positioned according to the desired requirements.

The safety device designed in this way is arranged parallel to the wing element 8 and is inserted with its locking element 6 into a corresponding receptacle 9 in the reveal 10. Before inserting the safety device, the adjustable locking element 5 is essentially pushed into the casing tube 1. After inserting the locking element 6, the adjustable locking element 5 is pulled outwards again and inserted into a likewise corresponding receptacle 9 in the reveal 10. After inserting the locking element 5 into the receptacle 9, the locking element 5 is fixed in the casing tube 1 via the locking element 2 with its threaded bolt 4. A lock 11 is integrated into the corresponding handle of the locking element 2, which secures the fixed position.
