Es ist jedoch oft notwendig, um die Glimmentladung :gleichmäßig zu verteilen, dafür zu sorgen, daß an der Zuführungsstelle der Abstand zwischen den beiden Elektroden derselbe ist wie an den übrigen Stellen. Wie oben schon angedeutet, ist diese Art der Zuführung notwendig im Hinblick auf den großen Kathodenfall gewisser Materialien. Es ist auch öfter zweckmäßig, an der Durchführungsstelle, z. B. dann, wenn es sich um ein Gefäß aus keramischem :Material bandelt, eine Einkerbung vorzusehen, in welche der Zuführungsdraht eingelegt wird, so daß im Innern die Wandung der Elektrode nicht verdickt wird.In the drawing is an exemplary embodiment of the invention shown.
