Die Herstellung des Grundkörpers in Stahlformguß ist nicht nur wesentlich billiger als dessen Herstellung durch Schmieden, sondern es ist auch dadurch möglich, eine wesentlich größere Anzahl von Hochdruckbehältern in einer Zeiteinheit herzustellen, als es die bisherige Kapazität der schweren Schmiedepressen zuließ. Dabei können wie bei den bekannten Behältern die Bleche oder Bandlagen auf dem schwächeren Längsteil des Gußhohlkörpers dadurch aufgeschrumpft sein, daß sie im warmen Zustand auf dem Grundkörper zusammengeschweißt bzw. fest auf den Grundkörper aufgebracht werden. Auch kann die Länge der aufgeschweißten Blechlagen bzw. aufgewickelten Bandlagen von der Oberfläche des Gußzylinders an ständig zunehmen, so daß am- Ende des Zylinders ein treppenförmiger Übergang von der Wand zu den verstärkten Enden entsteht. Ebenso können die Enden des Gußzylinders so ausgebildet werden, daß außer den Verschlüssen auch noch die Querbohrungen angebracht werden können, ohne daß hierdurch die Blechlagen bzw.
