Der Faserbrei wird nun i Stunde lang intensiv bewegt, um eine innige Verbindung der Lederfasern mit dem Bindemittel herzustellen. Hierauf wird Aluminiumtriformiat in Form einer 5 bis ioo/oigen Lösung dem ständig weiterbewegten Faserbrei allmählich zugegeben, und zwar so lange, bis das vorhandene Bindemittel restlos ausgefällt ist.
