Denn wenn es auch bekannt war, daß die elektrische Oxydation des Aluminiums zu einer gewissen Erhöhung seiner chemischen Widerstandsfähigkeit führt, so war doch nach den äußerst schlechten Erfahrungen, die man mit Aluminium unter gleichen Bedingungen gemacht hat, mit großer Wahrscheinlichkeit anzunehmen, daß auch das elektrisch oxydierte Metall den Einwirkungen der alkalischen Polysulfidlösung nicht standhalten würde. Wider Erwarten zeigte sich jedoch, daß derartige an sich berechtigte Befürchtungen nicht zutreffen. Auch im Dauerbetrieb tritt selbst an den Rührwerkzeugen aus elektrisch oxydiertem Aluminium keinerlei Korrosion ein.
