Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Saiteninstrument, bei welchem der Hals hohl ist, so dafs der von dem Körper des Instruments umschlossene Hohlraum sich bis zu dem die Stimmwirbel aufnehmenden Kopf des Instruments erstreckt. Die Decke der Aushöhlung des Halses besteht mit der Decke des Instruments aus einem Stück.
