Bei den bisher bekannten Verfahren wurde entweder der Isolierstoff in Form von Schlääuchen über den Draht gezogen und durch Erwärmen und gegebenenfalls durch gleichhzeitiges Fetspressen eine feste Verbindung zwischen dem Leiter und der Isolierung geschaffen, oder es wurde der Isolierstoff in Bandform mittels einer Führung längs um den Leiter herumgelegt und die Ränder durch Wärmeanwendung miteinander verschmolzen. In beiden Fällen ergeben sich aber verhältnismäßig dicke Isolierschichten.
