Die Bleche können z. B. aus Aluminium, Kupfer, Eisen u. a. bestehen, während das - am besten in pulvriger oder körniger Form eingebrachte isolierende Material z. B. Aluminiumoxyd sein kann. Das isolierende oder halibleiten!de Material kann in die Oberfläche des metallischen Grundkörpers, gegebenenfalls unter Anwendung von Hitze, eingewalzt, eingepreßt oder eingehämmert sein. i3,1-an erreicht durch die Erfindung dien Vorteil, ,daß d-ie Kathodenkörper leicht berste llblar sind und daß trotzdem der isolierende Belag eine hohe Festigkeit und die ganze Kathode eine hohe Widerstandsfähigkeit gegen Beanspruchung im Betriebe aufweisen.
