Die beiden-Stäbe für die Verbindung der Holme sind der Gelenkstab und der Gleitstab für den Sitz, die vorzugsweise aus Metall hergestellt und; mit den Hauptholmen fest vernietet oder verschraubt sind. Der oben gebrauchte Ausdruck schubfeste Rückenlehne ist so zu verstehen, daß die Lehne nicht nur geeignet ist, die Hauptholme in Parallellage zu halten, sondern auch Diagonal- und Schubkräfte übertragen kann. Dieses wird dadurch erreicht, daß die Rückenlehne aus: durchgehenden oberen und unteren Vollholzstücken und einer durchgehenden Sperrholzplatte besteht, wobei die Sperrholzplatte sowohl mit den oberen und unteren Vollholzstücken wie auch mit den Hauptholmen verleimt bzw: in die letzteren eingelassen ist.
