The invention relates to a sales stand with a table top, a base and a collapsible wall that is detachably connected to the table top and base.

Portable sales stands are used for special promotions in retail, for example for serving food or drink samples or similar. They are usually only used for one or a few days in one location. The sales stand is then usually folded up and transported to the next location in the trunk of a vehicle.

A sales stand of this type must therefore be as light as possible and easy to assemble and disassemble.

The well-known sales stands usually consist of an upper cover or table top, a lower base and a wall which is designed as a continuous plate made of polyethylene, which has scored lines on the corners of the base or table top so that the plate can be angled according to the shape of the base or table top and can also be folded flat for transport.

To achieve sufficient stability, the polyethylene sheet must be relatively thick. This is also the case because the connections, which are weakened to the thickness of the film in the area of the scoring lines, must be sufficiently durable for long-term use. Polyethylene is relatively expensive. Cheaper materials, such as polystyrene, do not allow sufficiently strong film hinges to be formed by scoring.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that the wall is a flexible plastic panel with vertical stiffening profiling and smooth upper and lower edges.

Another advantage is that it is not necessary to provide bends corresponding to the corners of the base and table top. Rather, the wall automatically adapts to the shape of the base and table top if the corners are rounded accordingly. The wall can therefore be made entirely from continuous material and only needs to be cut to the required length.

A sales stand according to Figure 1 comprises an upper table top 10, a lower base 12 and a vertical wall 14 connecting the table top and base. According to Figure 1, the table top and base have the shape of rectangles with rounded corners. However, they can also have any other outline, for example elliptical, circular or semi-circular or other shapes.

The wall 14 consists of a continuous strip made of thin, flexible plastic material, such as polystyrene. It has beads 16 running perpendicular to the sales stand or across the strip, which can have a semicircular cross-section, for example, as shown in Figure 3. The side edges of the strip or the upper and lower edges 18, 20 of the wall 14 are smooth. Since the material of the wall 14 is flexible and the profiling running exclusively in the transverse direction of the strip does not prevent bending, the entire wall 14 can be rolled up. In addition, it can adapt to curves and rounded corners of the table top 10 and the base 12 without any further measures. At the same time, the wall material can be used for table tops and bases of any shape without any other preparations.
