Hand shower

The invention relates to a hand shower, consisting of a shower head and a tubular handle arranged thereon, which is provided with a water connection, wherein the shower head has a fixed, approximately cylindrical housing on which a rotatable ring with the shower opening is held.

There are a wide variety of designs of such hand showers, in which a shower head is attached to a handle. The handle serves as a water inlet and the jet can be adjusted on the shower head. In particular, there are surge showers in which the cross-section of the shower opening can be changed using the rotating ring, so that either a hard or a soft jet pattern, i.e. a greater or lesser pressure, can be generated. However, with these showers, for example, the jet pattern cannot be changed while the pressure remains the same, and the pressure cannot be varied for a certain jet pattern. There are also hand showers in which the shower opening is covered with a sieve-like part that creates a corresponding jet pattern. However, sieve parts of this type lead to calcification early on and are unusable after only a short period of use.

The invention is based on the object of providing a hand shower

of the type mentioned above in such a way that the jet and the jet hardness can be adjusted independently of each other.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that a threaded pin is fastened centrally to the housing, on which an adjusting element with star-shaped arms is slidably arranged _; the arms are guided in grooves of the rotatable ring, wherein in the area of the shower opening an elastic or flexible ring with spray nozzles is fastened on its outer circumference to the rotatable ring and on the inside to the adjusting element.

An advantageous embodiment consists in that a detergent container is arranged on the housing,

which can be connected to the water connection and which is connected by means of t

connecting nozzles) to the shower opening.

Furthermore, it is advantageous that a control valve is arranged at the end of the handle to the shower head in the water supply line, with a supply line to the detergent container and to the shower opening being provided after the valve.

The functions of the shower can be adjusted by operating a switch lever conveniently attached to the handle. It is also advantageous that the used shower fluid can be stored directly in the shower and the dosage can also be added using the switch lever. There is no risk of the elastic or flexible ring with the spray nozzles becoming clogged, particularly due to limescale*.

In the middle of the intermediate wall 6, a threaded pin 10 is attached, on which a ring 11 is arranged so that it can rotate. Between the ring 11 and the intermediate wall 6, there is a washer 12. An adjusting element is arranged so that it can rotate on the threaded pin 10, which has star-shaped arms 14 that are guided in grooves 15 of the rotating ring 13. In the area of the shower opening 16, an elastic or flexible ring 17 is arranged, which is made of an elastomer. Spray nozzles 18 are located in this ring 17. This ring 17 is attached to the adjusting element 13 on the one hand and to the rotating ring 11 on its outer edge on the other. By turning the ring 11, a stroke of the flexible ring 17 is achieved, as is indicated, for example, in Figure 3, and the direction of the spray nozzles 18 is changed. The space between the intermediate wall 6 and the upper limit of the rotating ring 11 is intended for the water inlet, whereby flow openings 19 are provided in the upper wall of the rotating ring 11.

a control valve 21 is provided in the handle 2. The control valve has a control shaft 22 which is provided with a cutout 23, with a supply line 24 to the detergent container 6 and a supply line 25 to the connections 19 being provided after the valve. Control levers 16 are attached to the side of the control shaft. By turning the control shaft 22, the two flow connections 24 and 25 can be shut off, Figure 1 shows the position in which all the water is directed directly to the shower opening. When the control lever is pivoted downwards, the supply line 24 to the detergent container 6 is opened at the same time and the detergent is metered in accordingly. When the control lever 26 is pivoted upwards, the end position being limited by a stop, the water flow is almost interrupted, with the stop being set so that a minimal residual flow rate can still pass through. Two end stops are provided to limit the two end positions of the rotating ring 11 relative to the housing 4.
