Zu diesem Zweck besitzt der Bügel b, nach dem Absatz zu gerichtet, auf beiden Seiten Knöpfe d, welche in der Schlufslage in einer entsprechenden Ausbiegung des Bügels α Platz finden. An diesen Knöpfen ist ein Draht mit beiderseitigen Schlingen angehängt, und da die Knöpfe in der geöffneten Lage bei d¹ sich befinden, so wird beim Herumklappen des Bügels in die Schlufslage der Draht e, welcher an den Knöpfen hängt, aus der Lage e¹ in die Lage e gebracht und legt sich fest an die Innenkante des Absatzes, so dafs eine feste Verbindung des Spornbügels mit dem Absatz hergestellt wird.
