Während die Festigkeit der aus diesen Zementen hergestellten Prismen vermindert wurde, trat bei den erfindungsgemäß hergestellten Prismen eine wesentliche Steigerung der Festigkeit, und zwar bis zu etwa 45070, ein. Die Ursache dieser Festigkeitssteigerung liegt darin, daß die Braunkohlenfilterasche weich wird und mit dem Ton sintert, also zusammenschmilzt. Die vorgenommenen Versuche haben gezeigt, daß aus den erfindungsgemäß vorgeschlagenen Stoffen hergestellter Mörtel sich ausgezeichnet zur Auskleidung von Öfen eignet, die bis zu 1200' erhitzt werden. Die Braunkohlenfilterasche verkittet die Zuschlagstoffe Schamotte und Ton bzw. andere zu einem Kunststein mit entsprechenden Festigkeiten und einer Widerstandsfähigkeit gegenüber Temperaturen von etwa 1200'.
