Solche Vorrichtungen lassen sich gut säubern und sind deshalb für Heilanstalten und Pflegehäuser gut geeignet. Man kann nun bequem durch Scheuern an dieser Vorrichtung z. B. den Rücken waschen und massieren, auch wenn man stark behindert ist.
