Description

Verfahren zum Reinigen von Kökillen Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Verfahren zum Reinigen von eisernen oder stählernen Kokillen für Leichtmetall-, z. B. Aluminiumguß durch Tauchen in ein Bad. Bisher wurden derartige Kokillen nach dem Gießen mechanisch gereinigt, z. B. mit Schaber, Feile, Meißel, Stahlbürste oder mit dem Sandstrahlgebläse. Dieses bekannte Verfahren hat den Nachteil, daß für seine Durchführung geschulte Arbeitskräfte notwendig sind, daß ferner erhebliche Aufwendungen an Zeit und Kosten gemacht werden müssen und schließlich, daß die Maßhaltigkeit der Kokillen leidet. Außerdem war es bekannt, erhitzte Kokillen in ein Isolierstoff enthaltendes Wasserbad einzutauchen und auf diese Weise einen Isolierüberzug zu bilden. Beim Gießen von Kupferlegierungen entstehende Oxydniederschläge sollten sich dabei auf diesem Isolierüberzug niederschlagen und beim nächsten Eintauchen zusammen mit diesem abgewaschen werden. Tatsächlich läßt sich aber nicht vermeiden, daß sich Reste des vergossenen Metalls auf der Kokillenwand festsetzen. Gemäß der Erfindung wird deshalb vorgeschlagen, die Kokillen in ein den betreffenden Gußwerkstoff auflösendes Laugebad zu bringen und anschließend mit Wasser abzuspülen, z. B. abzuspritzen oder abzuwaschen, vorzugsweise zunächst mit heißem und dann mit kaltem Wasser.
