Gegenüber gewöhnlichen U-Eisen-Profilen oder Hohlschwellenprofilen bringt die Erfindung den Vorteil, daß ein wesentlich geringerer Anfangswiderstand erzeugt wird und ferner die Tragfähigkeit des Profils bei gleichem Werkstoffaufwand erheblich gesteigert wird. Diese Vorteile treten auch gegenüber den bekannten. pokalartigen Profilen, die mit einer dachähnlichen Fläche gegen das Gebirge anliegen, in Erscheinung. Bei diesen bekannten Profilen entsteht bei einsetzendem Gebirgsdruck eine zunächst nur sehr schmale Druckfläche und damit sehr hohe Druckspannungen, die zu einem- Aufspalten des Gebirges führen können.
