Verfahren zur Temperaturregelung von elektrischen Öfen mit großem Temperaturbereich Beim Härten von Metallen oder beim Vergüten von Leichtmetallen kommt es häufig vor, daß das Gut nacheinander bei verschiedenen Temperaturen behandelt werden muß. Zur Behebung dieser Schwierigkeit wird im allgemeinen das Thermoelement so bemessen, daß seine Thermokraft bei der kleinsten verlangten Temperatur noch ausreicht, um die Regeleinrichtung zu betreiben. Bei den höheren Temperaturen legt man dann, um einen zu großen Ausschlag des Regelinstrumentes zu vermeiden, einen Widerstand in den Thermostromkreis. Für den so erzielten neuen Meßbereich muß das Regelinstrument dann besonders geeicht werden. Verfahren zur Temperaturregelung eines elektrischen Ofens, der bei verschieden `hohen Temperaturen betrieben werden soll, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß bei Betrieb des Ofens mit niedriger Temperatur zwei oder mehrere, bei Betrieb mit höherer Temperatur aber eine kleinere Anzahl von in Reihe geschalteten Thermioelementen benutzt wird und daß die Umschaltung von dem für eine Temperatur erforderlichen Meßbereich auf den anderen durch Zu- oder Abschalten einzelner Thermoelemente bewirkt wird, wobei der Widerstand des Meßkreises praktisch konstant gehalten wird.
