Description

Free-space rafter roof The invention relates to a free-space rafter roof, in which the rafters support each other in the ridge and are stored in a shear-proof manner at the foot are.

The well-known rafter roofs of this type have so far been fully Manufactured single rafters subject to bending stress. Compared to this well-known Construction, the invention consists in that two superimposed and against each other staggered rafter layers are arranged, which are rigidly interconnected by latticework are connected. Another embodiment of the invention is that the side walls of the rafters placed across the corner as a connecting surface for the bars of the gridwork to serve. The invention has a number of advantages. First and foremost, the roof points from a static point of view very favorable conditions, because the forces in the main absorbed by axially stressed rods and not by bending stressed rods. In addition, the roof does not consist of a few and relatively large individual frameworks, but from a large number of small associations, which offer great savings Condition wood in multiple directions by adding the individual fields of force from the start require little wood mass and then only thin wood with small cross-sections, which can be cut out of thin sticks and also no or result in a non-negligible waste. Other advantages are the convenience and serial completion of the individual trusses as well as their easy transport by stacking the former and also the elimination of any cross- or vertical struts on the finished roof, regardless of which spans it has, so that, especially with large roofs, the space underneath them is perfect is freely available for gyms or other purposes. Finally be highlighted the quick and effortless erection of the roof structure with few workers.

The drawing shows an embodiment of a roof truss part in Fig. i in front view and in Fig. 2 in cross section.

The rafters a above and the rafters b below are made of square timbers placed at a corner and are spaced apart, depending on the inclination and size of the roof structure. The two rafters are offset from one another (see Fig. 21 and rigidly connected to one another by latticework, for example diagonal bars (», in that the side walls of the corner girders a, b serve as connecting surfaces for the bars c of the latticework.
