Hierbei kann zwischen dem oberen seitlich vorstehenden Rand des Rohrschiebers und dem Hilfsschieber eine als Druckfeder wirkende Schraubenfeder angeordnet sein. Infolge dieser Ausbildung zeichnet sich der neue Schirm durch seine Zweckmäßigkeit und Einfachheit sowohl in der Ausführung wie in der Handhabung besonders aus. Während es bisher bei verkürzbaren Schirmen nur sehr schwer oder überhaupt nicht möglich war, das nicht auseinandergezogene Schirmdach zu öffnen, kann dieses öffnen nunmehr unmittelbar nach dem Auseinanderziehen der Stockteile erfolgen. Die Leitscheibe an dem Rohrschieber und die Vorsprünge an den Hilfsstreben sind so zueinander angeordnet, daß im geschlossenen Zustand die Vorsprünge der Hilfsstreben unterhalb der Leitscheibe liegen, also keine Vergrößerung des Schirmumfangs gegenüber dem normalen Schirm eintritt. Beim öffnen des Schirmdaches gleiten die Vorsprünge so an der Leitscheibe vorbei, daß es keiner besonderen Kraft bedarf, um das Schirmdach zu öffnen. Weiter ergibt sich nicht nur der Vorteil, daß die Mittel zum öffnen des Schirmes sehr einfach sind, es sind auch nicht wie bei anderen Ausführungen eine Vielzahl von Federn oder anderen Bauteilen notwendig, die nicht nur eine sperrige Schirmform ergeben, sondern auch Gewicht und Preis erhöhen. Dem bisherigen Nachteil der ständigen Wirksamkeit von öffnungsfedern oder ähnlichen Mitteln steht der Vorteil gegenüber, daß die neue öffnungsvorrichtung nur dann wirksam ist, wenn es der Benutzer will.
