Abstract

The closure for the sparkling beverage can comprises a cover (9) formed from an upper part (10) with an opening (12) with a sealable neck (13) projecting above it. A resiliently deformable compressible skirt (11) has an annular housing for receiving the can rim and a support surface extending along the skirt internal perimeter. A clamping ring (26,28) concentric with the skirt presses the support surface against the lateral wall of the can. The clamping ring has an internal face constituted by a cylindrical surface eccentric to the axis of symmetry and engaging with a corresponding cylindrical surface defining the external face of the skirt.
