Abstract

The invention provides a process for cleaning metal bands which involves treating the sheet metal by atomising at high pressure, and hence spraying with great force, a degreasing solution onto the surface of the metal at impact pressures of from 100 to 5000 g/cm<2>. The invention also concerns an apparatus suitable for carrying out this process. <IMAGE>
