Description
Process for increasing the dyeability of cellulose fibers acidic dyes It has been found that fibers from natural or regenerated Cellulose in .all processing states - by treating with cyanamide or its Salts in their behavior towards acidic dyes largely of the wool fiber can match. Before the known methods of this type, the new method has the Advantage of a much simpler design. A simple insertion is sufficient the fiber in the solutions of the above-mentioned compounds.
Example z A viscose rayon fabric is used in a 5% aqueous solution of sodium cyanide is inserted, then squeezed off and rinsed well. If the fabric treated in this way is in: eixiem acid dye bath Poncea! U 2 R (Schultz, dye tables, 7th edition, no. 95) colored, one obtains a rich red color. A fabric that has not been pretreated and dyed in the same bath shows practically no affinity to. the dye.
Ein nicht vorbehandeltes Stück Baumwollsatin, im gleichen Bade m tge.färbt, ergibt fast keine Anfärbu;ng.Example 2 Cotton sateen is: a few hours with an aqueous 10% solution of sodium cyanamide treated. Receives after squeezing and rinsing when dyeing with Alizarindirektblau SE (Schultz, op. cit., no. 1192) a deep Blue discoloration. A piece of cotton sateen that has not been pretreated, dyed in the same bath, results in almost no staining.
