Auf diese Weise ergibt sich eine einfache und übersichtliche Bauart, welche trotz des oberhalb des Kessels liegenden Dampfsammlers einen leichten Einbau und Ausbau des überhitzers ermöglicht. Die noch mitgerissenen Wasserteilchen und etwa sich bildendes Niederschlagwasser strömen durch die Rücklaufrohre i wider in die Trommel des Rauchrohrkessels,zurück, während der Dampf durch die Aufsteckrohre k in die überhitzerschlangen L übertritt, die vor den Rauchrohren des Kessels c angeordnet sind.
