Description
For synchronous motors, whose rotor is made of permanent magnet steel in order to save the DC exciter winding, it has been proposed ^ the motor in synchronism briefly an increased winding voltage, z. B. by winding pitch circuit, in order to generate the highest possible remanence field in the magnetic steel rotor. The present invention relates to a particularly expedient arrangement for such an increase in the remanence field. According to the invention is after. Starting the motor, the increased winding voltage is generated by switching the motor winding, in particular star-delta connection or series-parallel connection, in conjunction with the series connection of the winding with capacitors. The capacitors are connected in series with the winding only during the short operating period in which the winding is switched to increased winding voltage. Of the switchings of the motor winding, the star-delta connection and the series-parallel connection are by far the simplest in terms of operation. However, they only allow the winding voltage to be increased in the ratio ι: yj or 1: 2. However, previous attempts have shown that to achieve useful motor properties an increase in the winding tension in the ratio ι: 2, S is necessary, ie little more than what could be achieved by series parallel connection or standing triangle connection. The simultaneous use of a series circuit with capacitors now allows the winding voltage to be increased in the desired ratio without these capacitors having to have a high output, since they only contribute a small part to the desired increase in the winding voltage. Increasing the winding voltage exclusively through capacitors would result in a reactive power of the capacitors, which would have to be a multiple of the motor power and would therefore no longer be economically useful.
It is already known per se that when capacitors are connected in series with windings an increased voltage occurs at these. It is also known for single-phase fed synchronous motors for starting of the motor to connect capacitors to a motor auxiliary winding in order to improve the starting torque to increase the rotating field. In contrast, the invention relates exclusively to increasing the remanence field of synchronous motors with permanent magnet steel rotors.
