Description
Electric musical instrument with shock excitation of reverb formants electric musical instruments. which the sound generation by shock excitation is made by reverb formants, sometimes disturbing phenomena occur, which based on physically related phenomena in violins and others Musical instruments are referred to as wolves. Such wolves appear when the fundamental and the reverb formant are harmonious. This is often an uncomfortable one. Perceive volume increase and distortion or change in timbre. It can also happen that as a result of an excessive increase in the amplitude of the Hall formant the keynote no longer emerges sufficiently.
According to the invention, the wolves with adjustable formant circles working electrical musical instruments, in which certain, for the sound character decisive, the Hall formants b: Idende frequencies in their amplitude accordingly the frequency of the fundamental tone can be changed rhythmically, thereby eliminated that the frequency of the reverb formant automatically, preferably, with every change in the fundamental tone in the same sense as the keynote is changed. It corresponds to a good sound effect, if this change is in the same direction as the root, so that for example if this fundamental tone is increased by one octave of the reverb formant changed by a third. This is achieved, for example, @ e in that the Ferrous self-induction coil of the Hall formant provided with an auxiliary winding is, which is traversed by a direct current, the strength of which with the height of the keynote increases.
In the case of electrical musical instruments, there are sometimes also disturbing ones Hall formants on by at some point from the vibration generator to the loudspeaker There are self-oscillating structures that are very similar to those used to color the sound certain reverb formants have an effect - and therefore unintentionally color the sound image. In particular This is the effect of transformers that often have their own capacitance or .be combined with capacitors for technical reasons. One will therefore an amplifier for electrical music, apart from those used in amplifier technology generally known principles, in particular dimensioning so that it does not have any inherent oscillation Structure contains, -. Alsö z. B. only resistors and, if necessary, capacitors as Use switching elements.
