Abstract
New microorganisms of the Enterobacteriaceae family includes enhanced, particularly overexpressed pepB gene or nucleotide sequences coding for the gene. An Independent claim is included for preparation of L-amino acids, especially L-threonine, which comprises: (a) fermentation of the microorganisms of the Enterobacteriaceae family producing the L-amino acid; (b) concentration of the amino acid in the medium or in the cells of the microorganisms, and (c) isolation of the amino acid.
