Abstract

The invention relates to a shaking apparatus for test tubes, comprising an electric shaker drive (29) and a seat for sample vessels (19) which is driven by the shaker drive (29) so that it carries out oscillating movements. The shaker drive (29) has an on/off switch (43), which can be switched on by placing a test tube (23) onto the seat for sample vessels (19) and switched off by removing the test tube (23) from the seat for sample vessels (19). The shaking apparatus is configured as a battery-operated, mobile, hand-held apparatus (1) and has a handle section (11) which can be gripped by one hand of an operator. The operator can freely hold the shaking apparatus (1) with this hand and with the other hand handle the test tube (23) to place it on the seat for sample vessels (19) and support it against said seat during the shaking process.
