Bei den bekannten Schutzgehäusen für Uhren mit Klappdeckel sind Ausführungen bekannt, bei welchen der auf seiner Innenseite die Uhr tragende Klappdeckel mit seiner Außenseite in niedergeklappter Lage die Öffnung des Gehäuses nach außen abdeckt, so daß sich die Uhr in geschützter Stellung befindet. In aufgeklappter oder aufgerichteter Stellung des Deckels ragt letzterer mit der Uhr senkrecht oder schwach geneigt über die Gehäuseöffnung hinaus, und vor der Uhr liegt entsprechend dem Grundriß derselben bzw. des Klappdeckels das Gehäuse vollständig offen. Das Innere des Gehäuses ist also dem Zutritt von Staub und sonstigen Fremdkörpern in vollem Umfange freigegeben. Dieser Zustand ist durchaus unerwünscht.
