Abstract

The under mattress has slats (3), for a single-bed width, which are divided lengthwise into two or more solid or ply wood, fibre-glass, plastics or metal part-pieces mounted at their ends on sprung bodies (4a,b). The sprung bodies are formed lengthwise of several elements preferably possessing differing degrees of hardness. The sprung bodies are made of foam rubber, foam, rubber or elastomeric material, in tubular form filled with water, gas or air. The sprung bodies (4b) on the outside of the bottom mattress are only half the width of those inbetween.
