Abstract

A double-storey, multi-pole electrical connector is of the type that is mounted on a circuit board. The connector has a main block (1) that is produced in insulating material and is shaped to received two multi pole socket elements (5). In the case of the lower level socket, the pins (6) are inserted and the socket then installed in the housing. Locating slots (2) are formed for the socket. In the case of the upper level the socket is inserted into the housing and the contact pins added. In both cases the sockets engage latching elements formed on the housing.
