Abstract

A radar motion detector with variably adjustable transmit and receive direction angles comprises a cavity resonator (3) and a mixer (5) as well as an antenna (15) (which projects in the form of a tongue) for transmitting and receiving the radar waves. The antenna (15) is seated on its base (15a) in the region of a waveguide opening (13) in a waveguide end section (9) or of a housing (1). In order to create a motion detector which is of considerably simpler design and occupies a considerably smaller structural space, based on the radar principle, it is provided that the antenna (15) be capable of pivoting about at least one pivoting axis (17) with respect to the housing (1) (which is held such that it cannot pivot) of the cavity resonator (3) and/or of the mixer (5). <IMAGE>
