Erfindungsgemäß wird die Meßeinrichtung so eingerichtet, daß nicht die Höhe, sondern der Durchmesser der Luftblase gemessen werden kann. Ein geringer Unterschied in- dem Luftvolumen bedingt schon einen verhältnismäßig großen Unterschied im Durchmesser, jedoch nur einen kleinen Unterschied in der Höhe der Blase. Zweckmäßigerweise wird direkt an der Lichtaustrittsöffnung der Durch= leuchtungseinrichtung durch Einprägen oder mittels Farbe oder auf sonstige Weise eine Markierung angebracht, mit der der Durchmesser der Luftblase in dem zu prüfenden Ei verglichen werden kann.
