Abstract

The invention relates to a fitting for doors equipped with mortice locks and profiled lock cylinders (23), having a door outer plate (1) which has, in an orifice (17), a plate (19) covering the end face of the profiled lock cylinder (23), with a key-insertion orifice left free, the cylinder core which carries the key channel being arranged offset relative to the transverse mid-plane of the plate (19), in which a chamber (22) is provided for receiving the lock-cylinder core region (24) and its flange (28) projecting radially thereto, and proposes, for the purpose of achieving the best possible practical form, that the plate (19) be assigned to the orifice (17) of the door outer plate (1) so as to be reversible in its plane in order to vary the spacing between the handle spindle (11) and the axis of rotation (D) of the cylinder core, and that there be provided, starting from the chamber space (25) surrounding the lock-cylinder core region (24), two chamber free spaces (26, 27), either one of which receives the profiled-cylinder flange (28). <IMAGE>
